Use a phosphate-free soap to help with any harmful residue. Salt can also cause some hard to your brakes, so while you are switching out your winter tires for all-season tires check on those brakes and take it to the professionals if you suspect any corrosion. Before you hit the road also check on the small things like windshield wipers and the battery that are sometimes overlooked.
