What is the difference between BOTOX® injections and fillers?
BOTOX® is used for dynamic wrinkles, which are those lines that appear from repeated facial movements. Muscles are temporarily paralyzed to get fewer wrinkles and creases across the forehead, outer corners of the eyes (crow’s feet), and between the eyebrows. Fillers are useful for static wrinkles. This is a wrinkle that is apparent whether you have repeated facial movements or not. Fillers help provide volume to the lines that occur from your skin losing elasticity and collagen.

BOTOX ® is a neuromodulator that interrupts the communication between the nerve and muscle. It’s injected into the facial muscle responsible for movement and reduces facial expression associated with lines and wrinkles. PREPARATION
Anti-aging injections are minimally invasive with virtually no discomfort and downtime. There is no preparation for the injections except for a consultation with a provider to discuss history, prior treatments, allergies, medications, concerns, and expectations. A numbing cream may be used if necessary, to relieve any potential discomfort.
Recovery
There is no recovery time with BOTOX ® injections. You may return to your normal activities following the treatment. Within days you will notice an improvement in your expression lines that last up to four months.
